About Me
Hi, I'm Therese. I am an independent artist and printmaker based in Limerick, in the southwest of Ireland. Following a long career in graphic and web design, I returned to fine art through printmaking in recent years having been drawn to the considered and meditative process of linocut.
Initially developed as a personal practice to cope during a period of significant stress, my work gradually evolved with a sustained artistic focus.
My practice is inspired by nature, native Irish wildlife, and Irish mythology in a strong contemporary graphic style with a whimsical twist alongside occasional quirky animal forms.
Each of my prints are created entirely by hand in my home studio, from carving the lino block to using traditional relief techniques and printed with professional relief inks on hand-torn archival fine art paper ensuring the best longevity for your artwork.
I am a member of the Local Art & Craft Limerick artists group and regularly exhibit at our weekend pop-up gallery shop on Nicholas St as well as Limerick Art Fairs and local Limerick markets. Check my Instagram page for my upcoming dates.
